This ministry has grown immensely since its inception in January 2003. Women of this church, and others from the community, meet once a month, on the fourth Thursday, to knit and crochet prayer shawls, and to consecrate the finished ones. These shawls are available to anyone who needs their comfort.
We are thankful for donations of money and yarn. It is most thoughtful for people to support our group. Prayer shawls and "pocket" prayer shawls with a cross design are available in the room off of the Narthex. A card is provided and includes the prayer of blessing that we use at our meetings when we bless the shawls. Please take a shawl for a friend or perhaps for yourself.
